Re: Traffic light Duel

Aye! Kick their arse! The 12v with 163 bhp and some oversized 'nads will beat up almost anything.

Good for you Alfie, the VR6 would have had to try for sure and probably had a few doubts and checked out your boot badges before he had a go. Twin spark badge on a 3.0 GTV, now there's a thought

I have my little 147, and I also have a CBR1000RR Fireblade.

So I have Style, and I have speed.

All depends on what mood I'm in.

Re: Traffic light Duel

I remember my mates VR6 was very quick ... I would say quicker than the 156 2.5 V6 I tried. However, the VR6 had about 48K on the clock and the 156 was a newish demonstrator, so I guess this and the fact I spent a lot more time driving the VR6, may account for this perception.

Re: Traffic light Duel

Had my GT since Oct 06 and I'm still waiting for someone to actually have a go at me. Cant recall having to go for it at any traffic lights at all.

Maybe its something that just doesnt happen up here.

What you do get here is people who will attempt to speed up as you are overtaking them. This has never posed a problem for the V6 though.

You went past at such a speed that the VR6 engine exploded

Lights go on, edge to the right of the lane so you fill their wing mirror, and edge closely then back off, all done with one arm holding your head with your elbow on the door. When they eventually get the idea drop it down two gears and speed off.

Love it

I may have employed similar tactics on the motorway before

Except I always have my lights on so they see me coming
