Re: advice on a crap looking alfa

spray it black, chuck a spoiler on the back, nice alloys, tint the windows,
a few wicked stickers here n there and you might get it looking as good as mine or if you dont want the hassle of a re-spray just go for a vehicle wrap! might even work out cheaper for ya hun

Re: advice on a crap looking alfa

stick spoiler on the boot lid and wrap it to look like Tomo's WTCC car....

But what I wanna know is who's responsible for ordering it in such a pants colour in the first place, I bet it sat in the dealers pound for months.....

Rover 45 would be valid in that colour, granted.

Not an Alfa, surely!!!

Why not just trade it in against one you do like?

Re: advice on a crap looking alfa

Respsraying an Ivory Mist car to something else would cost more than it's worth unless you do not ever intend selling the car.
It is not just a case of spraying the outside, you would need to spray under the bonnet including the engine bay etc etc etc.
If it is dirt cheap and you are leaving the colour Ivory Mist then ok but otherwise, run, do not walk to a car the colour you want.....

Re: advice on a crap looking alfa

Of course if the car is really cheap, you could stick some advertising on it and pretend your a rep.....

Re: advice on a crap looking alfa

I like it.
It's a sort of beige/gold metalic combo.

I almost bought a GT that colour.

A decent respray to change the entire colour of a car would cost upwards of £2000.
As Stori says, you're looking at shutlines too, so it's doors off, bonnet and boot off, windows out before you even start flatting back the exisiting colour.

Re: advice on a crap looking alfa

This is confusing me. I thought that was the colour of my car.
Image of My Alfa 156 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
and also the colour they used to initially advertise the facelifted 156

Is it?
And is it really crap?

I may have to get rid of it....

I like it too, much better than boring old red or black....

There is a member here with a GT in this very colour.

I dont mind that colour on your links. I wouldnt have one in that colour myself but then im still in me 20's and im guessing it may appeal to people a bit older. Hope i havnt offended anyone there, u know what i mean.

Thing is tho S.I.F., any 156 (or any alfa from the last 10 years for that matter) can be made to look good (providing that the owner likes his own colour) by just lowering it a touch, u dont need daft spoilers or body kits cos the shapes are sublime to start with. A slight lowering just enhances this. And if ur feeling flush, a set of well thought out and chosen, 17'' alloys. And then u have a real beaut!! Simple.

POLL: Twin or Quad Zorst?......

I am indeed a lot older, in fact way too old to be offended
But have I got the colour right? Logbook just says "beige"

Since when have you ever slightly lowered a car? I think the word is 'slammed'
