Same here.. It'd cost me £50 in fuel to get there and back, so it would have to be a pretty cheap entry fee.

That is true, its quite a boring track though.
Here is my trackday vid of it (using very very worn shocks): http://www.cloverleaf4.co.uk/downloa...ne_2007_Q4.mov

Nothing like my local that is Brands

Re: Alfaowner Track Days

Bedford Autodrome would be an interesting venue so long as my quad exhaust does not break the noise limits

Don't forget there is already the B & W Track Day on October 26th at Donnington with the Alfa Romeo championship the day before! Add to that the AROC live day in August and it may then affect numbers able to attend especially if all events are towards the end of the year!

As much as I'd love to - with a bill of nearly £ 1500 for work on the engine to pay tomorrow after a blown head gasket and another similar bill 2 years ago when the cam belt went I'd be terrified of knackering something else, but it'd be good to watch & even borrow somebody else's motor!

Get yourself a £100 banger with a couple of weeks MOT and rent left, for the sole purpose of tracking it. If you blow it up so what? You could still get £40 for it scrap.

If it doesn't blow up sell it after and get your money back.

You don't find many £100 bangers these days, my local scrappy are will weigh your car in at £160 a tonne!

Unlike the wonderful Cup you had, the tractor engined GT would be well at home on the grass Tony

Re: Alfaowner Track Days

I'd love to do this. Ideally it would have to be a weekend date though. Been planning a trackday for a while now, need to get a move on and fit the stainless brakelines first!
