I think you will find that the new 500 is an 'honorary' Alfa

Re: How many Alfas have you owned?

33 1.7 16v - white, fantastic engine.
155 2.0 16v Sportpack - Black with antrasite Speedlines, looked like it was doing 100mph standing still.
916 GTV 2.0 - silver, lovely car but very small inside.
156 Selespeed Veloce Sp3 - silver with dark grey leather and 17" OE wheels, looked fantasic, but the worst Alfa I've owned.
Giulia Sprint GT (current) - ivory, SA car. The most fun you can have in a car.
147 GTA (current) - cosmos blue with black leather. Fantastic performance, but doesn't like the yumps in the lanes.

Re: How many Alfas have you owned?

Depends on how you view life......

As a pessimist I'd say I've owned too many.

As an optimist I'd say not enough.

Re: How many Alfas have you owned?

I'm up to four now, and they've all been great.
2x 145 Cloverleaf - fun, fun, fun
156 2.0 - more refined and civilised, but still fun
147 GTA - insane, and insane fun

I've got a quarter share in the 164, it's being used on our Home2Rome Rally at the end of September.

Re: How many Alfas have you owned?

Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 Twin Spark 2000 Model - White.. Manual with green cloth interior and wooden steering wheel... my first car, and my favourite Alfa. I bought her on February 28 2005 with 136,000km on the clock and when i left South Africa on 29 June 2007, gave her to my dad and she has 247,000km. She now has 273,000km and still going strong..(many thanks to Alfa Service Centre in Bedfordview for brilliant service for two whole years...)

Alfa Romeo 166 3.0 Sportronic - 2004 Model Silver with Rosso Red interior, love this car. Bought her on 27 November 2007 and she has been a joy ever since.. had 77,000km on the odo and now has 99,300km on the odo.. Brilliant car and super reliable..

Alfa Romeo 156 GTA Selespeed - 2004 Red with black and tan seats. This is my adrenaline rush. I love this car.. Had a few issues when i bought her with about 69,000km on the clock in February this year. She has a remus exhaust and sounds sweet at 7000RPM.. The best thing about her is the puzzled look on peoples faces when they see it. Alfa's are few and far between in the middle east, especially GTA's. I reckon there are about 8 156 GTA's left in Dubai... the other 5 have been written off.. and about 6 147 GTA's, another 4 or so have been written off too..

My pride and joy is my 1968 1750 GTV which i imported from South Africa. She's still going through the registration process in Sharjah. So for now, i'm not driving her yet. Lovely car though..

Dunno if i can drive any other type of car. In three years i have owned four, so i reckon my addiction can only get worse
