Sold my 156 2.0TS :(

Touch Up Paint

I have a week off in a couple of weeks and I'm planning on sorting out all the stone chips on the front of my Bella. And a scrape on the tailgate ironing board (All accrued under the ownership of the previous driver )

I know the paint code (Silver 612/A according to the sticker on the boot) but dunno where to get the paint from (since Halfords don't stock Alfa colours)

Anyone know where I can get an aerosol from that will deliver it at reasonably short notice?

Also, what colour primer should I use? Touch ups on my last silver car needed a grey primer, so I assume this would be the same?

thanks for your help guys

Re: Touch Up Paint

Hi, doesnt really matter too much what colour primer, as long as you cover it. Grey should be fine, might be good if you can find some white.

When I was at university (Loughborough) there was a paint mixing place on the industrial estate who used to mix colours and stick in an aerosol... somewhere like that might be hard to find though. Any body shop ought to be able to sell you a pot of paint, but the aerosol bit is tricky!

Re: Touch Up Paint

You can get your paint matched and put into a touch up stick. This may be your best bet as silver dose not match very well, especially when touching in.Most paint supliers should do this for you

Re: Touch Up Paint

I would just get the paint from your nearest dealer tbh,
i always get my self some touch up paint with the lacquer to go with it,
most dealers have it in stock or they can get it for the next day.

Eurocolour around here, mate, did a good match I used on the daughters iridescent silvery metallic Espace. Two pack, x2 aerosols, flat and lacquer.:
