Re: AO menber discount at Red Dot Racing.

As I've said to OA, I'd be really tempted to get my 2.2 done as long as it was:-

a) Undetectable when linked to examiner / having a dealer service.

b) Doesn't screw the fuel computer up.

The 2.2JTS is a good unit but slow speed driveability is tricky and it feels like it has a fair bit more to give

Cheers,

They'd never know you had a remap if you didn't tell them..

(Obviously that would be wrong though )

Re: AO menber discount at Red Dot Racing.

I have taken heed finally and become a member, it was about time really!!

How's the pre 3,500 rev acceleration like now? Have been considering a remap since buying the car (along with all the other repairs needed).

Was considering angel or red dot, do you thing a cda intake is necessary with a remap?

Re: AO menber discount at Red Dot Racing.

Not on a 1.6. No buddy. The CDA will only benefit the diesels. It helps the turbo to breathe better.

I don't have a CDA on my 1.8 156. And I'm remapped to 154BHP

The improvement from 2000RPM is superb.

Re: AO menber discount at Red Dot Racing.

I had a 147 1.6 T.Spark before, all i did to it was to get a specialist like alfarama to change the manifold and downpipe to the supersprint ones so i loose the twin cats, and remapped the car and also they made the diameter of where the air intake pipe comes in from the front wing to the airbox a little bigger so they could fit a alfa 156 2.5v6 induction pipe, this sounded awsome, i tried the GTA intake pipe but was noisier and lost some torque on the rolling road. When it was standard the car was doing 119.6bhp after the remap by reddot it was doing 129.2bhp then final figure with the right induction and supersprint it was at 134.1bhp and very torquey indeed. Not bad for a little 1.6 wish i kept the car now.
