What do I get with Free
Registration?
Free registration
allows you to post to our site in the community lounges as well as the technical
lounges. Members are more than happy to offer advice but usually searching the
board is the best way to find what you need. Holding the basic account restricts
you from viewing our Medio and Premio lounges and features. You are still able
to integrate into our community however, without members signing up, our club &
community would soon fade away. Your registration also helps us to understand
our members better and this help us to improve the coverage and other features of the Alfaowner Forum. |
| How do I upgrade or renew my membership! |
I am already registered.
How do I upgrade to full Membership?
If you have a basic/free registration, sign-in
on the forum, and click on 'AO
Club' . When you are in 'AO Club' , you will
notice links on the left hand side, these will take
you through to full membership within 5 minutes.
How do I renew my Paid
Membership?
Before your paid membership expires, we will send
you a reminder email. You can then sign-in using
your username and password, go to 'Club Home'
page, and follow the link to the renew
membership. |
| What happens to my personal data I give you? |
When I purchase Paid
Membership, are my credit card details secure?
Your payment is handled by
Paypal
using their own Secure
Payment Processor or the Worldpay Gateway. Your card details are not stored or transmitted to alfaowner.com at any time. We are only
advised that payment was received from you. If you are a Medio or Premio subscriber, we are given a shipping address.
Are any of my details
given to other companies?
Alfaowner.com does not share your data with any of our partner companies, unless
you specifically give us permission to do so. The information we receive from
you is used as a statistical guide, to help us improve the service and
understand demands. |
| Trouble with your username and/or password |
I am trying to login
with my email address and password, but I get an
error message saying my details are incorrect.
Please check your password using the 'Password
Reminder' link on the front page login box.
Remember usernames and passwords are
case-sensitive ("Password" is not the same as
"password"), so be sure to enter your username
and password exactly as shown in your most recent
confirmation or reminder email. |
| What if i don't renew my subscription; what happens to my PMs? |
If I don't renew my membership, my 'stored PM quota' goes down; what happens to my PMs?
To prevent any errors on the Forum, we have to ensure that 'stored Sent Items' do not push your 'stored Total PMs' over your PM Quota, however, your stored Inbox PMs will remain.
Example 1
PM Quota = 5 stored PMs allowed
Inbox = 2 stored PMs
Sent Items = 10 stored PMs
Result: Your 7 oldest sent items will be removed leaving you with 5 stored PMs.
Example 2
PM Quota = 5 stored PMs allowed
Inbox = 15 stored PMs
Sent Items = 10 stored PMs
Result: All 10 sent items will be removed but you will keep all 15 'Inbox PMs'.
You will, however, need to delete some PMs before you can send or receive any more. |
