My questions are
1) What bolts are likley to break and need replacing... part numbers?
2) Rear seats out.. and anything else?
3) Do I need to replace anthing else?.. all I have is the 4 springs and the 4 konis and their bottom spring mounts.

Just want to be prepared so I do not get left stranded waiting for parts.
Thanck in advance Nuvva

As you all know I am getting nowhere fast tackling my pathetic alignment.

So I started with something simple to get me in the mood.
Having a success here for future ICS problems I once again reurned to the alignment.

Rather than sicken myself by jumping in at the deep end once again I went for something relatively easy.

Hi all
I have been a lurker on this site for a considerable time now and have owned various Alfa's since 1986. I have owned 4 x 33's a 75 145 146 and now a 166. I bought the 166 in April this year after my pristine 146 was considered uneconomical to repair following a minor shunt in March.
I have been absolutely delighted with it and as many have said on this site it is one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever owned. It was mainly driven by my wife due to the high mileage that I do( I have to make do with a Mondeo diesel during the week) and she has loved driving it. It has alll the usual quirks ie indicators that dont cancel and it had had a very stiff clutch since I bought it. I read all the links relating to clutches and was re-assured that even though it was stiff as long as it didnt slip it was fine.

Last Monday the clutch let me down and I had to be relayed back home. The RAC guy tried to bleed the clutch but gave me the bad news that it needed a new clutch.
My dilemna is that I cannot get it repaired yet due to lack of funds ( Son starting Uni next week) so I am asking if anyone is interested in buying it before I put it on E Bay.
Engine appears to be absolutely sweet and has about 74000 miles on it. Engine compartment is very clean.

The Body work is in good condition with a few minor supermarket dings and the only other noticeable thing being the cover to the headlamp washer missing on the off side. Inside is also in lovely condition but no CD player or sat nav. I make do with a cassette that connects to my Ipod.

All you guys that could do the clutch yourself could get a really beautiful car for very reasonable money. I paid £1600 for it in April and was hoping to get around the £1200 mark.
Apologies if this is a bit cheeky for a first post but I am truly gutted that I cannot keep this car. I will hopefully get another small Alfa with the proceeds.
Photos attached

Regards

Sadley I'm thinking of selling my beloved 166 3.0 V6 24v Sportronic Ti facelift model.
I dont really want to see it go but the time has come to buy a dare I say it 'diesel Alfa'!

Just thought I would dip my toe in the water and see if there is any interest.

I've owned the car from 6mth old previously owned by Platts Alfa (Md's car)
Its fully loaded with Sat Nav, GSM Telephone, Memory Seats, Multifunction Steering Wheel,
Rear Parking Sensors, xeno lights etc, 92k with full service history, belts, variator & water pump changed. This car has been cherished and no expense spared in maintenence. Everything works as it should.

Car is Metallic Silver with Black Momo Leather. I have recently had the wheels re-furbished in Alfa Titanium grey which I think look superb. Also has a lovely stainless steel exhaust.
I have a set of 17" Cloverleaf wheels with good Goodyear F1's in silver (which I put on in the winter) and a set of genuine Alfa Roof bars.

A certain well known Alfa specialist has offered £5k trade in against diesel 159.
