Its was an amazing day 2 years ago and this year it will be on for 2 days.

We will have a dedicated area in the paddock once again. Each attendee just needs to purchase tickets online here*http://www.irishfestivalofspeed.com/buy-tickets/

There is also a load more info on the site itself.

Would like to make this the big summer meet but appreciate the most will not stay for both days, so it would be great to get as many people down on the Saturday if possible although we will have an area for the whole weekend.

So could you please let me know what day you have purchased your tickets for.

I plan on staying the night locally on the Friday but have yet to book anything but suffice to say I may be around for a few alcoholic larger beers if anyone else is around.

Can anyone recommend a good hotel?

So my question is - does the 166 appeal to a certain age range or across the board.

Don't want offend anyone or appear rude I'm just wondering.

I'm 42 Mrs JonC is 39 I've had 166's for around 5/6 years, before I discovered Alfa's I preferred Japanese cars - Mazda and Nissans.

Went for a tyre swap today and the gorilla at the fitters jacked my car up on the sill which crushed the seam. This then lead me to think I should take the sill covers off to assess any other damage or grot collected in teh 15 years of the cars life.

But got stuck at first hurdle. None of teh screws at the bottom wnat to come out ! Either turn about half a turn or just spin. I can pry them off or chisel maybe but Iwas wondering if anyone has a more elegant removel tip !

Cheers

Seriously anyone heard this one?

I heard it back in the 90's from a car sprayer/car detailer. He worked for an official Porsche body shop, he was an amazing sprayer who sadly died in a car accident very young. I must admit I was skeptical at the time and carried on with the shop bought back to black etc.

Up till now I found the best product was the Arexons multi purpose spray.

That is sadly very hard to get and the scuttle on my 156 way beyond it's capability grey and board lining white. I figured the only answers would be replace, respray or I have heard heat guns work.

Being that everyone seemed to have had ago at it in the past getting all the silicone off it may be a pain. I also would prefer not to remove if possible.

My partner was having a clear out and some old peanut butter was destined for the bin so I thought why not.

Totally amazing, the mixture of abrasion and oils have brought it back to as near darn black as you could expect. If it hadn't have been quite so bad it would have perfect, but it is not far off it.

Thought I would share this if nobody had heard it before, I will probably have every wasp in the UK chasing me from now on but it is worth it.

Hi all,

I'm 19 and had my Alfa 156 1.6 2001 Black Twin Spark for around 8 months now, however it's been off the road for 6 months over the winter. It was dead, however after charging the battery for around 36 hours, she breaths! :)

Anyways..........

My Alfa 156 is black and the paintwork has seen better days. It has a lot of what I would say 'surface scratches', e.g the paintwork is scratched, but only lightly, not so you can see bare metal.

I have tried to wash and turtle wax a small corner by hand and it didn't do much for it.

I would like to buy a polisher/sander thing but I would like some advice.....

What one do I buy? What pads to I buy to maybe take the paint down a tiny bit to then polish it back up? What cleaning products do I use?

All help is greatly appreciated

Thanks :)
