Morning all,

Just about to step into the world of fatherhood!!
Last night i attempted to put in my Jane ISO-FIX base and car seat.
I found it a massive struggle to actually get the base locked into place. The anchor points seem to be set way to deep in the seat. Gave up trying to get the thing out last night as well. Anyone had the same issues, or know of any tips for getting a base in and out quicker?

cheers
I hope that the reliability is an improvement, as I had issues with the 156 every week but thats part of the thrill of Alfa ownership, Who knows, I might return to the fold one day, when my insurance policy matures.

Hi all, i just thought that i would let you know i have a new project on the way  it is a 2000 reg 1.6 TS 145 in dark metallic blue. she has a few bits and peices to sort out, but nothing too major at the moment, mostly cosmetics i think. i had a very good dig around and can't find anything in the way of rust in the usual places, i think the brakes could do with a refurb, but nothing i haven't tackled before  i will make sure i put the decals on the right way up this time

so i shall be spending a bit more time in the 145 lounge from now on :)

hope to have her out on a run in the near future

Hi all,

Congratulations on a great forum. I’m new to Alfa Romeo’s though, but shared the passion for some years now.

My cousin owned a 156 Sportwagon (2001, 2,5 V6) and was crazy about it. I’v always wanted one myself and decided to look for one now.

I’ve found one and to find one with “lowish” mileage is quite rare. The one I’m looking at has 71000km on and looks good.

I stay in JHB and is thinking of buying it but can’t haul my *** down to Knysna go and see it.

What do you guys think? Any other advise (good or bad) on buying a 156 V6 would also be appreciated.
