JTD Glow plug removal

I was aware when I got the GT that there was a glow plug issue, did some reading, tested the plugs, found the dodgy one, sprayed with penetrating fluid, engine was warm, sprayed more fluid, etc. Gently started to undo the plug and

The bloody thing snapped below the thread :swear: so the thread came out and the rest of the plug is welded into the head. Lots of penetrating fluid, mole grips and wiggling, stuck the car in second and rocked it to get it turning over gently and nothing!

Thread Dr is coming out today to resolve it at the not so measly cost of £140! I really should learn and just pay people to do these things in the first place as every single time I try to do a simple job on the car it ends up being a nightmare and costing a sodding fortune!!! :swear::grrrrr:

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs!

Does it make the plugs come out more easily if you do it with the engine hot? Mine on page 3 of to do list....
