MAF Problem - Anything Else?

Hi, I have a 156 1.8 that keeps throwing up MAF error. It's usually hesitant when you first put your foot down but drives fine when the MAF disconnected.

The thing is the MAF (Bosch) is only 8 months old. I've checked wiring back to ecu etc which all seems OK.

COULD THERE BE ANY OTHER PROBLEM that would throw up a MAF error but be fine when MAF diconnected.
