Much more realistic (and honest) prices than some places quote.
Ideally you also want the aux belt & tensioner too though.

Some places only quote for a "belt" and then stack on the other £200 worth of parts later...

Thats what happened with my Coupe. The belt change was £350, but I ended up paying £603. That was at a local Fiat Coupe specialist BTW.

If I had known I would have bought the parts and done it myself.

i suppose price could go up if the waterpump needs changing and it wasn't scheduled in, but that's a steep difference!

Well the original price was for the cambelt and tensioner. My car has aircon, so has 2 auxillary belts, and 3 other tensioners which are not cheap. I also needed a new cam cover as the original was distorted.

I didn't have the waterpump changed although I should have really, but the guys reckoned it was ok.

I could have done the work myself if I had the time. The parts for the whole job cost about £250.plus about £30 for some cam locks.

The coupe does have a variator, but they hardly fail. Its a good job as that is £170
