Dumb question but I'm an Alfa Virgin, I got a 1999 T reg 1.8 Twin Spark, do I have a CF2 or CF3 engine? Cheers

Re: CF2 or CF3?

Yep, 100% CF2.

CF3 didn't arrive until September 2000, some markets continued to use CF2 though.

Re: CF2 or CF3?

The CF2 does feel a bit better to drive than the CF3.

My 156 was a CF2 and my friend has a CF3 sportwagon.

Not only that most CF3's will pay higher road tax and they seem to crack exhaust manifolds more often than CF2's

And 105bhp 1.6TS CF3 only have one Cat.

Jamie also told a 2.0JTS owner that replacing his broken flexi would cost £400-600 bacause it would mean replacing Cats. It didn't, the flexi is a seperate part on the 2.0JTS that only costs £100...

So never trust any info 100%.
