Wave 156 2.4JTD - Heavy Steering

I have owned my beautiful car for 2 years now and, yes I will admit I am hooked on Alfa's
About 4 months ago I had the auxillary tensioners etc and belt changed, but since then I have noticed that the power steering has been fading, but more recently has nearly none existant. I have been noticing it but my husband drove it the other night and commented on it too.
Am I being paronoid that the problem might lie with the auxillary belt or could it be a valve in the steering rack????

Any ideas would be great. Thanks

First thing to check would be the fluid level.

Yep check that and it is not using any at all. Drove it today and the steering is fine again.

Has it run low recently because you could have an little air in the system, or, check your power steering pump pulley has no oil on it which could cause it to slip.

More likely to be air I'd suggest.
