I actually went to see them about 3 months ago, (Even looked over Simons car ) I must admit, although I wasnt offered coffee Darren the service manager and Tim honestly seemed to me to be very decent people.
My local garage had some issues with them a few weeks back trying to get parts. They gave them the chassis number and alfa still sent the wrong parts. The parts department didnt know the difference between a 0 (zero) and an O and then wanted to charge the garage a 'restocking fee' for their mistake!!
I used them a couple of weeks ago for a temp switch and was told they'd call me when it came in, never called, I went in and asked if it had arrived, it had and why had no one called to let me know, the guy on parts just shrugged his shoulders.......yea cheers mate useful that!
I needed some gearbox oil for the TS. The guy on parts said they didn't stock the stuff and was unable to help me figure out what I should use. Which led me to thinking.... what exactly do they put in your gearbox when you get it serviced there? Drove out to Kegworth and got me some Tutela ZC 75 from them instead
to be fair all they want to do is sell a new car.
sod looking after an older one.
well im happy with mine and when i need anything ill go elsewhere.
parts dept are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
Took my GT into them under warranty last week to have a coil and sparkplug changed. Darren in particular was very helpful...also had a chat with the sales guys whilst there (Tim in main) and they were very friendly and knowledgable. Tim commented on how nice my car was etc. A good experience all round. Will most likely use them when I change to a Brera a year or two down the line
Also managed to get 1 litre of 10/60 oil from there. Couldn't get hold of it anywhere else! Was driving me crazy
ah, this is where i bought my GT from a few days ago! Very nice guys, particularly the sales person Richard who i dealt with. Even phoned me a few days after i got it asking me how the car was
Will go back there again now as i got such great service, was a really good introduction to Alfa Romeo too
