Really hoping the weather has turned around and the sun is out shining down on us for this

MITCAR this year is at Elvaston Castle. Elvaston. Derbyshire. The entrance to the car park is on the B5010.

http://www.freewebs.com/mitcar/

The entry fee is £5 per Italian car. The Gates open at 10.30am

So get your picnic hampers and gazebo ready and don't forget your suncream

"Some good news! Mitcar 2012 is go go go...."

If anyone wants to convoy in from ASDA spondon I'll be down at the petrol station end at about 10.00am

Yes, as I am organising it! LOL! Please be aware of our significant constraints this year - waterlogged ground means we are having to use hard standing in a reserved area of the public car park. Better than cancelling, and we'll be making very best ...

GTV Cup 153

Its ON

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Owing to the unprecedented level of rainfall in recent months, our original plan to use the extensive grass show ground area at Elvaston Castle has been severely affected - essentially it would have been a quagmire. After negotiation, the venue owners (Derby CC) have kindly allowed us to use a large area of the hard-standing public car park, so the event can still go ahead.

Sadly our normal plans for attractive parking by club/marque/model etc will be severely compromised but we will do our best to form attractive displays, though much restricted compared with years past.

Be advised that although we have 'rescued' the event from cancellation, the hard standing allocated to us is limited and the whole scope of the event is restricted.
However, it is infinitely better than cancellation and we will do our best to make the best of what we have.
The area of parking is well laid out, leafy and attractive and is close to the grassy area of the showground which will be OK for our gazebos and picnicing.
Gates are open at 10.30 and on this occasion marshalling is going to be difficult and there is absolutely no point in coming earlier because you will be queuing to get in.
It is going to be 'interesting'!

... we could do with it not blinking raining this week... Lashed it down today.

Have just got the new signboards ready and the programmes are all now printed.

GUTTED that we can't use the grass area as it is MASSIVE!! (It's turned into a giant bog!)

Next year we will chose a venue on a 90 degree slope, 30 miles from any river/lake...

As Bry says, it will be challenging, but we look forward to seeing all, er, owners of Alfas there.

Cheers!

Clan Clover

This sounds good , the ground is still very damp around.
I am desperately trying to get my mot sorted, I'll try pop over.
I guess not many Clan Clovers will be there!

I only live local in long Eaton. if I don't manage to get the new disk pads and mot in time.
i'd be happy to let anyone interested in having a look at one pop over.
I am considering putting it up for sale again, not been using it, maybe seeing a few more cars
will inspire me to get it looking pretty again.

Hope to see you there.

Mark
