My Sills are suffering. Best place to sort them?

Hi all,

As can be seen from the attached pics, the sills on my 156 are getting hammered. It's been doing 120 miles a day through whatever conditions Derbyshire and Yorkshire could throw at it and it's really suffered for it.

What I WANT to do is get both sills re-done with a decent stonechip primer and colour matched over, like on my wife's MkV Golf.

Does anyone know the best place not too far frm Ripley / Alfreton area to get it sorted? I know of the guys on Meadow Lane in Alfreton but don't know if they're the best or if there's anyone else?

I ALSO want to get a pair of low profile front mudflaps like some of the SW cars have on them. Don't care about aesthetics so much as protection!!

Its me again! Mine are going in just the same places though not quite as bad as yours. The front edges of the wings have effectively no protection so maybe not a surprise. I've got one side rubbed down and patched with cold galvenising spray and probably attack the other tomorrow. I was intending to buy a colour touch in kit and see how (bad) it looks. I agree that a decent stone chip covering is the way to go but matching could be a pain. I may buy a small spray gun and see if I can get the paint. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Have you had a go underneath yet? Mine was almost bare of underseal on the passenger side and was getting quite rusty in places. It was a filthy job but looking much better now!
