Martin at AFH1 is really good, he is a very highly qualified Alfa-trained technician and certainly knows his stuff.

Excellent Website; I might give him a try.

I really rate Louis at Alfa Technico; we are spoilt for choice in N.Notts now!

Alfa Romeo GTV CUP No 67

My bella is in @ AFH1 this friday as martin has already concluded what is wrong with mine and i hope this will cure it.
Very impressed with martin so far and if the front exhaust pipes are the problem then i will be over the moon once it is done.
Will keep you all informed this friday night.

Putting 2 and 2 together and probably getting it wrong, is this Martin who used to work at Beechdale in Derby?

Ok then, so we have two good alfa specialists in North Notts............i live in Derby and being as this is my first Alfa, Is there any competent specialists in or around the Derby area?

Hope i dont need one for breakdowns but servicing and parts is my main concern for the moment.

Thanks , in advance, Phil.

Thanks lewi, i am aware of them but although i have never used them, i have heard rather luke warm feedback for them!!

Really looking for one of those independents, that have thorough knowledge/experience and equipment in the Italian/Alfa field.........maybe asking to much without having to travel out of the area!

i'd still say head for Alfatecnico, it's only about 20 mins up the A38 (just opposite McCarthur Glen, or East Mids designer outlet, whatever ya wanna call it) plus you get a free courtesy car as well while yours is in the garage, and his work is top notch you won't find any complaints on here

i've used him several times now, and he even managed to repair my rev counter when the main dealers told me it was impossible and i'd have to replace it

I think editing your original post is the way to go or else you end up sounding like Dustin Hoffman in Rainman
