An invitation from East Anglia

Some of you might be near enough to come along to this - if you are it would be great to meet you.

Rockingham - near Corby - is a great venue.

Re: An invitation from East Anglia

I would really like to do this and still might but my weekends are a bit hectic so difficult to see into the future. When do I have to decide by to come and park up with the rest of ya? Infact I'm very tempted so may just come anyway...

P.S. thanks for the invite Paul - been meaning to say that since you posted too!

Double edit I just remembered to mention *avoid Corby as if your life depended on it!* - when picking up my GTV I had the misfortune to drive through, picking a path through the vicious red speedbumps for mile after mile was not fun...

Re: An invitation from East Anglia

Come on East Midlanders! This looks like it will be a really fun day out and there are a good 10 cars going already so why not make this into something of a multi-regional meet? It's only about 45miles S of Notts - a lovely drive down the 606 too

Re: An invitation from East Anglia

Yup yup. It was well worth the trip although I was a physical wreck so not at my best Pity more ppl could not make it but we had about 9 cars I think plus a couple of guys racing so it was pretty gosh darn cool. Got sunburnt (again). The pickup truck racing was most dull apart from a massive crash in race 1 - but all the other stuff was entertaining and the Alfa race was head and shoulders the most exciting.

I have no idea how a couple of 33 1.7s kept pretty much on pace with two 3.8l V6s but it was a joy to behold. A guy (I think he is possibly a forumite) in a 156 spun at about the 3rd corner, went to the back and fought all the way back to 3rd which was great as well as the rudest green GTV6 ever and the peak alfa GTV which was just beautiful. Great trip

And you turned all this down for faffing around with a bush?

Re: An invitation from East Anglia

You should have come to Snetterton instead. You wouldnt have got any cuts there, just fast cars and food!

Um, baby - were you at Snetterton? I could have sworn I saw you at Rockingham...

Is that why you have changed from yellow to the underlying blue colour?
