Nothing very special about that venue unless you enjoy your Christmas meal perched on a tiny stool (not comfortable for big bums!) so in consideraion of those living more to the South of Norwich (the majority of people?) what about a venue away from the North Norfolk coast where there is ample car parking and the owner is prepared to offer an actual "Christmas" meal menu.
If there is a need to go to Sheringham then there is an excellent alternative restaurant on the main road.

I would disagree.
The vast majority of attendees last year very much enjoyed The Crown. The hospitality was superb, with the landlord going to the extra effort of putting up all the Alfa decor.
The food was good - we were asked beforehand if we wanted him to supply us with a 'proper' christmas lunch and there was ample parking.
OK, so it's not in the centre of our region - we all have cars - hence the forum, and going for a drive is half the point of a meet!
Personally, I thought it was ideal, and I don't think I'm alone in that.

Exactly Pip, I had a bloody good time last year and hope I can make it this year.
Nowt wrong with The Crown at all and as for the Christams menu we were all asked what we wanted and I didnt want a Christmas lunch and I dont really want one this year if I'm honest either just normal food.
