Re: 19 October - Norfolk Run - Be There!
Sounds good. We could take a detour through the grounds of Holkham Hall. Might be a chance of some fine photos there if the weather's ok.

You are down as a "yes" then Steve. (Go on hit that button).
Liz and I have been to Holkham Hall - well worth the detour you suggest.

And entry to the grounds is free.
You need to change the date on the RSVP though!

Re: 19 October - Norfolk Run - Be There!
This looks good. So now I have to go down on my knees to get my wife to cover for me at work that day.
The Crown is my local - what you may not be aware of is that Bob Brewster, the landlord, is a Spider owner. I shall tell him about this next time I see him, be good to get him up for this as well.
The other thing you might like to bear in mind is that if it's a nice day, The Crown can get extremely busy on a Sunday lunch... parking could be an issue (not insurmountable) and it might be wise to book lunch.

Thanks for that - I'll wait a few more days to get some definite numbers and then book.

Re: 19 October - Norfolk Run - Be There!
If you wish Paul, I will give him a ring and see if I can organise parking and book us all in?
I can't really see parking as an issue with the car park at the top being quite large, but it would be nice if we could all park outside the pub!

Re: 19 October - Norfolk Run - Be There!
We should corner off a part of the car part with some red rope so we can line up all the Alfas! Carnt have them spread out amongst the average cars

Re: 19 October - Norfolk Run - Be There!
No problem!
Just a quick question to those that are coming:
Apart from Paul and I, will anyone else be bringing a partner/guest with them? (I guess you will be Steve?)
Just so I can give them a rough idea as to numbers for lunch.

Re: 19 October - Norfolk Run - Be There!
Right, we are now booked in for 1PM (to allow for any late comers!).
As for the car park, unfortunately they were unable to reserve any spaces for us so it may be a case of parking away from the pub if it does get busy, sorry about that!

Re: 19 October - Norfolk Run - Be There!
Unfortunately The Crown only has about a dozen parking spaces anyway. As there will inevitably be at least five cars there (manager, staff, and a couple of guys who live nearby and use it as their parking space), there ain't a lot of scope.
There is a municipal car park immediately next door which costs 60p per hour, this would probably have a few spaces at around 12.30, but that will depend on the weather.
There is a larger car park in Morris Street, again 60p per hour, which will definitely have plenty of space, and that is only a very short walk-either along the promenade or more directly through the main street.
There is no need to park in the main one at the top of the High Street and leg it all the way down to the front.
As I mentioned before, Bob is a Spider owner, and he is currently away on holiday. I will see him when he gets back, attempt to get him enthusiastic about it, and see what transpires.
Meanwhile, still trying desperately to get someone to cover for me at work.
