Welcome to the regional forum - good to see you here. As I have said before (when you get to know me you will realise that I do tend to repeat myself) this is a large area but I do try to move events around so I hope that you will be able to come along to an event near you in the next few months.

I'm in Norwich.

I've only just discovered this part of the forum - excellent. Looking forward to coming along to some local events.

As far as garages go we seem fairly well catered for round here. ALFA SHOP are excellent as is RICHARD DRAKE who is literally just round the corner from them. Infact I think they work quite cloely together. Richard is totally into alfas and even has a great big hairy hound of a dog called ALF which often mooches around the workshop.

I also just used AVANTI AUTOS in Ipswich and they were superb. It was cheaper to drive to Ipswich and have them plug in their diagnostic examiner than it was to go to DESIRA in Norwich. Plus they were really friendly and gave excellent service.

On another note - Is it just me or does East Anglia seem to have a lot of Alfas around? I parked up the other day and there were 2 other Sportwagons and a 147 within 15 feet of me.

We're obviously a very discerning bunch and not tractor drivers at all!

Oi ! We are the tractor boys here in Ipswich !

Yes Mario at AVANTI did say they get a lot of requests to fit muck spreaders on 156's over there!

Avanti really are good - we had a meet there last year when they provided food and gave free diagnostics.

Like a number of others I rate the Alfashop in norwich highly.

I wouldn't use the Desira Fiat dealership on North Quay, Yarmouth if it were the only option left. I've heard nothing but "Tales of Woe" about that place.

I HAVE used Desira Alfa in Heigham St, Norwich though... They're quite good (if a little expensive, but then, you expect that from a Main dealer).

For my servicing needs I use the Alfa Workshop in Royston.

I'm aiming for Alfa-ness by September, and I'm from in between March and Chatteris in Cambridgeshire.

I'm from Norwich (Thorpe St Andrew) and I'm big Alfa fan although I have only just bought my first Alfa (166 arrives on Saturday). I have used Alfa Shop with my Fiat and my Mother takes her 156 SW there and they have been great. Desira Norwich quoted her several hundred pounds to do something to the 156 and the same work was done by AlfaShop for less than £50!!

I look forward to any meets you may have planned, anybody planning to go to trax this year? Not my normal type of show but I've paid already through my old Fiat Club.

Hi j - welcome to the regional bit of the site.

Don't be shy - name that specialist - most of us use them rather than main dealers ('tho there are some good ones).

Keep looking here btw - Baby (Katy) - my fellow rep - and I both organise stuff in the region and it would be great if you could come along to one.

Very friendly lot and honest - can't recommend them enough.
