I can't decide about this one. I think I'd put it in the same category as the F40 and say it's not cool but I want one so much it hurts but I need to consider it.

Gorjuz, history, engine, and a Ferrari. Sub-zero, i think one of greatest Ferrari's ever made.

Salute, Giordano.

I'm with Gaz on this one. If I had to have any Ferraris since 1980 it would be the 288GTO, I much prefer it to the F40 and anything they've made since. I was looking at one in Stratton's dealership in Wilmslow, must have been around 1988/9, when I saw the price tag £999,999.99

EauRouge, the one I saw for sale was 3 or 4 years after launch and the speculators had got their grubby mitts on them, hence the price tag of just under £1m. It was, up until I saw a 250GTO at the first GFoS, the most expensive car I had ever seen.

My folks moved to Wilmslow just after Ron Stratton picked his up and I remember reading about the trip back from Italy in Car magazine. I was lucky enough to see his very car (B288 GTO) parked up just outside the dealership one Saturday - it was opposite my barbers and I did dash home to get my camera and a few (blurred) pics.

the last of the really great Ferrari's, since then it has all been about computer management....

Subzero, because of its looks, and the fact that it knocked the 959 off the perch as the worlds fastest car.....for a short while

Not so, the F40 doesn't even have ABS. But then the F40 is no more than a progression of the 288...

Ferrari should position one of these in the foyer of their head office next to a 250 Lusso, and a Dino 246.

Every time their stylists produce yet another oversized bling encrusted tasteless monstrosity they should be made to sit on the naughty chair in front of these cars.

ALMOST the sub-zeroest of sub zeros.....but.... not as sub-zero as an F40, for me. The styling isn't quite hooked up and isn't removed enough from the 308/328, whereas the F40 has me dribbling every time I see one.

Art is, of course, a subjective thing....
