I passed one going to work this afternoon and it's, shall we say, rather on the tall side. A total bast4rdisation of the Mini name and just what is going on with the glass behind the c-pillars?

To be honest we could play the "What's going on with the......" game on this thing for a long time. Can I go second with what's going on with the massive **** off indicator repeaters on the wings?

They know nothing. Countryman models are supposed to have bits of tree stuck on the rear bodywork. Remove the o.

I have the misfortune to drive past a Mini dealer every day on the way to work.

There are several of them lined up in full view of the road.

I think it is one awful looking vehicle.

Seriously uncool.

The Germans might be using the name Mini in an ironic way with this car, an attempt at German humour perhaps... there is nothing else funny about it

awful, awful, awful. i don't mind normal minis but i saw one of these out on the road for the first time a couple of weeks ago. at first i didn't realise it was the new countryman - i thought it was some kind of korean/malaysian hallucinogenic design nightmare, but then i realised it was the new mini thing. utterly, utterly awful. way worse in the flesh than pics. but it'll sell in droves to stupid women all over cheshire. dreadful

It will probably replace the Porsche Cayenne Turbo (which you may not know are actually limited to 40mph) as the not-so-yummy mummy weapon of choice.

Twenty odd years ago, 120bhp from 1.6 would have made it a hot-hatch!

The 1.4 MA has a Turbo though, a 1.4 Turbo putting out 135bhp is nothing special.

The 1.6 TS used to put out 120bhp, which considering it is normally aspirated isn't that bad..
