I saw one on the road years and years ago, i think only a handful made it over to the UK so felt lucky to have seen one. pretty smart car i think for its age.

In it's day, that was a cracker of a car. Bit dated now. I think their worth a fair few greenbacks.

It is possibly the only cool BMW since the M635CSI. It's got electric doors that drop down into the sills!

Re: Bmw Z1
These are quite cool. Certainly nothing in BMW's current line up comes anywhere near.

Re: Bmw Z1
Interesting enough, some novelty value with those doors and remarkably rare for a BMW.
However, it looks dated rather than classic and its lines are somewhat uninspiring if you ignore the comedy doors.
As a BMW it has to work quite hard to attain cool status alongside the M1, 2002Tii and original M3. This doesn't cut it.
Therefore, it is uncool.

Re: Bmw Z1
Damn BMW and their Z's and M's which lead to me forgetting which one I like and which one I don't.
I remember now - this is the one that looks knob.
Seen one in the flesh in Austria, and it looks worse than in pictures. The proportions are all wrong - it looks very truncated in real life.

Impossible for a lass in a skirt to get out of without flashing her knickers.
So it almost made it to 'cool' on that alone.
But not quite.

Sub zero for me. Great shape and 1000 times better than the Z3 and Z4 that followed it.
