Fiat Grande Punto Abarth
Today we have a small Italian car with a (not so) big engine. But, it's still quite powerful for its size.
Engine: I4
Aspiration: Garrett IHI RHF3-P10.5 Turbocharger
Displacement: 1,368 cc
Power: 150 bhp @ 5,500 rpm
Torque: 169.6 lb·ft @ 3,000 rpm

Re: Fiat Grande Punto Abarth
Seriously uncool from me I'm afraid. Maybe it's an age thing, but I would only expect to see this doing donuts in Asda's car park after 10pm along with the other pocket rockets with their MaxPower addons......
This poll may need a dual rating; one for the under 23s and one for the over 23s!

What queue do I join??? (I'm 23 ... )
I'm going to vote cool as it's small, Italian and quick(ish). But I don't think it's as cool as the 500 Abarth

Re: Fiat Grande Punto Abarth
Cool. I would much rather have one than a 500 Abarth.
But I wouldn't have one in white.

Cool but the A500 would be sub-zero, I am a little biased though.

Re: Fiat Grande Punto Abarth
I voted cool Its small, its Italian and its a Fiat but could do with a few more horses than the 150,not powerful enough for an Abarth badge.
I like it though.

I can honestly say I have never seen one on the street. Fiat is rarer than Alfa around here.
Would rather the A500, but this is still cool. and i wouldnt say no

Re: Fiat Grande Punto Abarth
My cousin, let's call him Marc, mainly because that's his name, and because dickface wont display properly on here, recently took charge of a Punto. Before his latest acquisition he was a strict Seat man owning both the Ibiza and Leon in their various guises respectively. He rolled one and got banned in the other after being caught having consumed something illegal prior to driving it through someone's hedge. Now that his time off the road has been served, he decided, with a little help from various family members, to plump for something more sedate and user friendly. That's where the Punto comes into it. Now while i dont necessarily agree that the Punto is any less of a car than either of the Seat's, it has been a month since he took ownership and he hasn't put a foot wrong. It also, in his own words; "feels like a tug boat pulling a supertanker into harbour in anything other then 2nd gear", so maybe it is. But then i would be surprised if he knew what either of those things were, unless all that time off the road with nowhere to go had him watching the discovery channels every evening. It also has to be said that he is very fashion conscious. Just about everything he owns has the word Prada stamped on it, and he has admitted feeling more than a little silly, and to use his words again; "girly", while behind the wheel and seems to see people he knows a lot more often now that he drives his little Italian box. This, i pointed out, could be because he is driving slower - and sober - now, or it could be karma. You decide. From his point of view it is seriously uncool. From mine i would like to say sub zero but i dont dislike him that much, plus i never see him anyway, i voted for uncool to offer a little support.
Edit: Ha, what-do-you-know, dickface does display properly. Rejoice in a way that is most fitting.

Re: Fiat Grande Punto Abarth
As much as I feel I should like it, being an Italian brand and all, it's still a Fiat Punto in a party frock.
It would feel fun and zippy but wouln't make me feel cool and special driving around in it. Stick an Alfa badge on it and the public would think it's a nice car. With a Fiat badge it's stuck with the Fiat image.
