Still, I'd rather have an Audi over a BMW or Merc, so I'd say Uncool but just.

Personally, I reckon the original S8 was sub-zero. The current one isn't as subtle so I'm voting on the original.
It had that certain something. A smart but unostentatious look, massive performance for a big saloon without trying to be a track wannabe in the BMW M mould.

I'll go with Jim on that - used to work on the S8 when I were in't workshop.... propper class car. Big but understated, pleanty of power if you need it but also very easily drivable...
One of the chaps who's S8 I looked after had "Love Is The Drug" by Roxy Music in the CD player....road test, 30mph, windows down, shade's on and "The Drug" playing at a nice highish volume whilst on road test... 
The new one is a nice car but I don't like it as much as the old shape....wouldn't say no if someone were to insist though 
The V8 Diesel is ******' fantastic

Oh yes Pud. 5.2 V10 FSI. 450PS & 540Nm of grunt hurl it forward at a better than respectable 0-62 of 5.1s for such a big saloon. How cool is that?
