Body Work Sealing

Had to share this, it was actually recommended by someone on a Saab Forum.

My 75 got "water marks" on the bodywork when rain was dried off by the sun which had to be t cut back to get it out.

Wax did not good so I asked if I could seal the paint work to stop the contact between paint and water.

Got recommended Wolf Chemical Body Wrap, with a chemical clean of the paint first.

So got on it last weekend , and am blown away by the results! Not only has it cured the water marks its given the car a mad shine with no swirl marks or calky resedue I used to get with wax!

You clean the body work off with the chemical then put the sealer on wait 15 mins and simply buff off, well simple and check the result out! Highly recommended!

Nice 75..

It'll be interesting to know how long that stuff works for.. I think any decent wax would offer the same sort of effect.. but obviously if it doesn't last very long and/or the owner doesn't re-apply some more then the protection gradually reduces.

These new type sealants and waxes are very different in make up and technology. Where as the oils in a wax create "beading" where water settles sealants create sheeting where it is repelled and sheets off the panel. Due to the bead type and tension you don't get the same mineral deposits left behind when the water evaporates. They typically last longer than even quality waxes and offer better "real world" protection also. Wolfs is nice, permanon is another but again technology is very different. It's worth noting that with these new sealants they have to go on naked paint, squeaky clean so to speak so if you have mild swirls you cant utilise a glaze to mask them so for some paints and colours it's not always the best choice IMO. I have used something like that, its good stuff, it might even be that one.The soda can cause issues if it gets into places it can not be removed from such as between two layers of metal. It can cause rust from what I have read.
