Are there any longer lasting colour restorers than T-Cut?

With the GTV suffering quite badly from the traditional Alfa Red fade, it T-Cuts up quite nice but it only lasts a fortnight at the most

So, short of a respray (on the cards but not just yet), are there any longer lasting products available?

Yep you need to wax/seal after to lock in all the hard work polishing.

Even using something lke Autglym super resin polish instead of or after the tcut before waxing may help.

I usually do but its only with that stuff i mentioned. Maybe a double dose of TC or better stuff and then a better quality wax/polish then?

you tcut your car every two weeks?

That will only serve to make matters worse in the long run.

Surely a good polish every few weeks would keep it shiny?

or *whispers* color magic

a nice glaze will get it wet looking and then you can seal it in with some wax.

Yep lots of better/safer choices for you paint than tcut mate.

You really need a paint restorer type product, then a polish, then a wax or sealant.

Or you might be ok with just a good polish and a good wax combo, without doing anymore cutting.

So many products out there, you wont go wrong with any of the usual big names!

Defo too much "t-cutting" going on!

You need to stop polishing and start waxing mate.

T Cut is a last resort sort of product IMHO. Give minty a good wash with a decent shampoo, repeat the wash, dry her with microfibre cloths or similar then polish with AG SRP and then seal with a decent wax.

Stop the T-cutting before you get to the primer Gaz. If you want to try Auto Glym SRP and Extra Gloss Protection before you buy, you're welcome to pay me a visit. We could have it done it no time between us.

I feel your pain Gaz, I have a "pink" 145 QV and no matter what i've done in the past, it's still pink, although only certain panels! Paint restorers (Tcut, Autoglym to name a couple), SPR, wax, EGP in huge quantities over the years, machine polishes and nothing has brought it from pink to red again.

Good choice of colour

Without being 'pearl' or 'flip' it manages to be very red in some light and very orange in others (see sig for details)

My camcover is Fiat Red Orange Nice choice

Do stay off the T-cut Gaz, it's just too much. Try a colour polish and seal it with wax. It'll be better than taking a layer of paint off each time.
