Windscreen Spray Foam?

Hey guys,

I have been using Mr. Muscle glass cleaner and while it's pretty decent and gets the job done it usually takes two or three applications to get it clean and leaves a wee bit of a residue behind and isn't exactly convenient to put in the boot and use it after filling up for fuel (it's not exactly a rare occurrence on a longer trip :P)

Having seen the pit stops at Le Mans and the spray foam stuff used on the windscreen to remove the oil and general crap that accumulates from racing I reckon it would do a helluva job shifting the midges and other road muck but the problem is I just don't know what they use, or how to mix my own solution...

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Stewart

I've never found a screen wash that does much before move the lightest of marks. Get a big ol' bug on there, or even a few little ones in the wrong spot and you've had it, using the wipers usually makes it worse.

Ah, that doesn't look too far off what I'm after.

The best product that I have found (and believe me I have tried many) is a tablet called PURGATOR which you add to the windscreen wash bottle. It does not remove wax and leaves no water marks when in contact with paint. It comes out slightly foamy. You get them in blister packs of 6.
