Well it is now -6 degrees in Edinburgh with 4 inches of snow near the hills where I am so I don't think I'll be doing any detailing tomorrow!

Its a nightmare here too, lots of snow but no power cuts....... and I've ordered some new products to help with the winter cleaning.

Hose Free ECO Wash - similar to Optimum No Rinse.
Go Green Waterless Wash - All in one clean, protect and shine.

From Chemical Guys UK who are based in Cambuslang.

The finest car care and automotive detailing products available.

If anyone is interested I have a winter 15% discount code for that site.

Poor Spidey is being protected under several layers of good old fashioned mud (and worse) until it stops freezing long enough to get him sparkly again

I saw a neighbour cleaning the snow off her luxury motor with a plastic snow shovel today - very brave!

What do you guys do to protect the undercarriage from the effects of the salt. Do you spray it off daily/weekly? Do you apply any sort of undercarriage protection like CG Barebones?

Living in SA we don't have these problems so i'm curious.

I got my local indy to give it a coat of waxoil or similar at its service in June. I know they did a comprehensive job as it stank for days afterwards. It wasn't expensive to get this done so well worth it in my opinion. Otherwise I have 2 coats of collinitie on the body and wash it with hose or jetwash whenever I can.

I use this FS365 Protector Anti-Corrosion Spray 1 Litre

It's not too messy and it's easy to remove with water-based degreaser

4 inches of snow was like being in heaven. Now we have 20" I have been digging for the last 3 hours, the garden whirlie has collapsed and a tree has fallen down from the wood behind my house into the garden taking my fence with it.

Luckily my GT is okay in the garage.

There will be a few injuries and cars getting trashed when this lot of snow comes off the roofs as chunks of ice

I think we're all fed up of it now - just wished it would go now - mind you we are gonna have some bad flooding when it all starts to melt
