I have some (i.e. most of the tub ) of DJ purple haze, which is the soft wax version for 'dark-coloured cars'.

It gives better colour enhancement than the Collie 476S but not the protection.

Of course you're welcome to try it if you like, Ross

The one thing i've found is that no matter how good the car looks I always think there is some product(s) out there that will make that bit better. Your GT looks absolutely stunning so obviously Blue Velvet works but there is no harm in trying other stuff. In fact, its what makes detailing so enjoyable.

P.s. why not try experimenting with the polishing stage as this what gives 90% of the finish.

Is the polishing stage the dodo lime prime? Or do you mean machine polish mate?

That looks amazing

Orange crush is the one designed for red cars but nobody can ever tell the difference, it's just a marketing gimmick and Dodo Juice will tell you that themselves

Yeah lime prime is a polish, well more of a paintwork cleanser with a bit of cut really. If you fancy the machine polishing route then there are loads of polishes to have a crack at.

But I would spend more time on this stage even if just by hand. You will get more reward for time spent on this stage than waxing/sealing. And as some of these waxes are pretty pricey it may be worth looking at a DA polisher, then the results you will get are awesome.

I've also got some Lime Prime which I've found to be pretty good at removing old wax.

I think Ross was a little impressed with the GTechniq, he even said he now trusts me to apply it to his car Must say I'm very very impressed with the ease of use and how well priced it is. All my other stuff is going in the bin!

So what you're telling me is that you've rendered my generosity a complete waste of time?

I think that Dodo Juice wax is pure muck. I bought it thinking it was going to be the best thing since slice toast for the 156 used it once and just threw the stuff out it was terrible. I'll stick to my collinite.
