Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #7 Show Car Glaze

i've just picked some of this up, what's the best way to use it?
the fk has been on for 4 months so i thought with my week off next week, i'd have a good go at the bella again.
i was going to:
foam
wash
srp
glaze
fk

hope is is right. but how do you apply the glaze?
i'm aiming for a super wet looking silver bella

The process is right but FK1000P won't bond with a glaze I'm afraid. You can buy and acrylic based glaze (Chemcal Guys EZ creme or Primo amigo) instead or a wax Meguires #16 is one you need to own anyway

Using #7: First of all it is a non-drying oil and it needs to be applied very thinly, you will know why in a minute (I use the G220 and a serious performance finishing pad to apply it).

Here is where #7 becomes very different to every product I have ever heard of. It doesn't dry but if forms a skin so when you start to buff it off it will become liquid again, wipe and move around the car do not try to remove it all in one go, take three goes. So what you do is buff the first and second skin skin off with a Terry cloth, and use a microfibre to remove the third skin. Wax it immediatly because it washes off with water.

^^^+1.

I haven't used it for a while but 10500rpm is spot on. Don't get dejected when it goes all smeary the first time you try to remove it, just do exactly what 10500 rpm says.

I personally didn't get great results with it. For me speed glaze is better for machine use and by hand I find Black Hole easier to get results.

I think its one of those products that in the right hands gives something extra that no other product will, it's just very difficult to get the best oot of it.

When I was looking for it I stumbled across these SRP 50/50's. This was inbetween breaking my digital camera and buying a DSLR so it's from a 1.2mp camera phone I'm afraid

Gotta love the fillers

And the Astra with #7 and #16 (and maybe 21/26 which I no longer use), admittedly after a machine polishing.

There is nothing like knowing you've actually removed the swirl marks but products like SRP and Black Hole are just so damn good and easy to use. Great 50/50 shots.

That was the day that I really fell in love with my DA, before that I always applied SRP by hand but have rarely done it since. Even quick valets produce great results now .
That Astra han't been polished/glazed or waxed in about year now, I think I'll sort it out this week.

I like having a pretty much maitenance free car because it's always under close inspection which get a bit annoying tbh.

It's a man thing that. It's not cool so we'll take the ****. But secretly we'd love to have our car just as shiny.

Imo, detailing gets a lot more interesting as soon as you introduce power tools, i.e. DA's and rotary polishers. Because lets face it, we men love power tools!

You're not off a American comedy that uses a range of tools by the name of Binford are you?
