Posting Pictures

Hi there,

Tried searching the site for the answer but couldn't find it so thought I would post here.

Whenever I post pictures using Photobucket, it displays only the link in my post and not the actual picture.

Is there a way around this?

Many thanks !

Matt

What lounge are you posting in Matty ?

If the image link isn't enabled in that lounge you can't post a bucket link there.

If that's the case, resize the image to below 250kb using any software, I use microsoft picture manager.

Save the re sized image and then click on the attachment button top left hand corner of the post, up load it and then re click the attachment button and insert the image like so

No only the Image Lounges have [IMG] Tags enabled

As said you can use attachments everywhere else, the limit is 100KB & 1024x768 for non paying members.

Cheers,

It is the signal most stupid thing in the world not having the work in the technical forums as it's a pain clicking all the links and putting them together if you need to know how to put something back together. This is the only site I am on that doesn't allow you to put img tags all over the site the mind boggles.

Six files per post Matty, I'm sure there's a tech/IT reason for that

I agree mate, it's not as if externally hosted images take up a lot of space on here

However reading tech threads is a right pain when users post huge pics which turns the forum into "widescreen mode"

I think attachments work well now that attachments can be placed anywhere within the post & 1024 x768 is plenty big enough

Sure it takes up no space due to the files stored on PB's site unlike using the uploader that uploads directly onto the sites servers.

I'm doing a project thread and it would be a lot tidier if I could keep all photos within one post..

But rules are rules I guess !

Thanks for the input

Not always & it's also dependent on profile settings.

You could do the project thread in the Motoring Images Lounge & link to it in the Tech Lounge, that's what many users do
