why can't I read my allwowed 5

my inbox says 33 , but when I try to read them the forum says I can't

surely those messages should have been bounced back

am a member, but not a paying member - so how come I've a full inbox

it tells me that I can't even read the original 5 messages

don't know mate try deleting some or something ???
i had hundreds when i was a paying member as i rarely deleted, when my subscription lapsed iirc i had to clear them all before i could send receive any more

it's got something to do with the
"friend" stuff that went on a few months back .. can some please unfriend me

I doubt it's relevant Quinn. If anything, probably because you've been here long enough to pre-date the 5 message limit, so you have loads from then. The system is then confused because it will only allow you to see 5.
As Hughes says, deleting some will probably fix the issue, and let you access the currently invisible ones.

Not quite Baz ... I've been able to get the 5 limit for a while and then
just accessed it again tonight and it told me I couldn't

something is wrong there

it won't even let me get there

it just says this:

Fair enough. Now PG has moved the thread, hopefully admin will see it quite soon and help you out.
