How abaout a "spotted" forum ?

Instead of the "I got the alfa wave" thread which is getting very long, how about a "Alfa spotted" forum. This can be divided into different area's of the UK, and of course different countries ??

Re: How abaout a "spotted" forum ?

I pass a silver 166 and a Blue GTV every day on the Abergele straights leading towards Rhyl/Prestatyn. (I used to wave but they never responded, so gave up about 2 years ago). The GTV owner used to drive a 166 when i had a 155.

Well I just started a "was it you" thread in my area lounge so nothing stopping you all doing the same in your area's and if it works we can make them sticky

Re: How abaout a "spotted" forum ?

I can't judge this for the UK so it is up to Ian to decide. We already have so many lounges, so I guess with several spotted lounges, we would create overkill. But that is just my 2p.

At my place I see almost fifty Alfas every day, so it doesn't make any sense to make a spotted thread for me.

You maybe missing the point, if its done in the area lounge then people will be only looking at there area not several and only post if they got a wave or they spotted another AO member or something that was older and would be a club type person

Re: How abaout a "spotted" forum ?

Last week in Bastogne (belgium), i spotted a huge number of alfas, probably because the main dealer in the town was AR. the most peculiar was a 156 SW Q4 crossover - strange looking! might have a pic of it and will post later.

I understand what you mean and we will look into that. Personally I think it is not interesting for non UK members, so if we do it, we have to make it without filling half the screen with area lounges.

No we dont want half a screen that's why I think it should be done in the area lounges that we already have for meets

Maybe, if there's to many lounges, thought needs to be given about whats in the 'Members Lounge'.

Obviously, I appreciate that some people may enjoy them (and therefore a consensus may need to be sought) but I can't really see the point of having an "Even More Of Topic" when we already have an "Way Of Topic" one. I get the impression as more people view WOT members prefer to post in that one.

Perhaps, given the recent concern of 'Round Robin' threads, EMOT might need a rethink - just my tupence worth

Yer it will be goo to do in the area lounges but we cannot have all the other forums. Will just slow the whole operation down.

I think it's something that, given a bit of thought, might be a good idea...
