Saving a thread

Hi Guys,
Sorry - just another newbie who can't find a feature.
How do I save a thread, or threads, that I'm interested in (but may not have posted to) so that I don't have to search for them everytime I log on?
Cheers Glenn

Re: Saving a thread

Mac,

I think the option you're looking for is the "subscription" tool.

I assume you're using the AO Modern skin (dark grey with white lettering). If so look up to the top of a thread and you should see four buttons: Link Back, Thread Tools, Search this Thread, and Rate Thread. You want the Thread Tools Button.

Under the Thread Tools Button there are three options. The one you want is "Subscribe to this Thread." If you press that you will be taken to a page that asks you what type of notification you want when a new post is made. Pick whichever type you prefer.

To manage your subscribed threads, you can either go to the bottom of the page and use the "Forum Jump" pulldown menu and pick the Subscriptions option or you can go to the top of the page, hit the "Profile" pulldown and pick the "Subscribed Threads" button.

Now I have no idea how well subscribing actually works, as I don't bother. In fact I've never subscribed to a thread, but somehow mysteriously every time I happen to check, I've been magically subscribed to threads.

Hope that helps.

Re: Saving a thread

Hey Cool,
That's great - have found all you said and yes I've already subscribed without knowing.
Thanks for the help - much appreciated!
Cheers Glenn
