I would like to suggest that wherever it takes place, AlfaForum members should have their own area exclusively, where we can meet and greet each other.

Actually Barnsley is being my Mum's place of birth and all. And it's changed a lot since I were a lad The most noticeable change is the total lack of the smell of coal nowadays Funny how you don't miss it til it's gone.

But I digress, this thread is not about Barnsley

What about Donnington as a venue?? Reasonably central and relatively easy to get to

What about the Haynes Sparkford car museum, not only is it full of cracking cars and they are geared up to occupy little tykes (the T34 tank in the car park keeps them amused for hours)but......(drum roll)... they have a test circuit you can hire for peanuts, I would imagine if you mentioned 250 Alfa Romeos they would get veeery accommodating regarding discounts or laying on a bit of a spread. I know its in the South West but the roads make the journey worth while

I don't give a rats ass where it's held, aberdeen or exeter, whatever, i'll still try to be there if I can, even if it means staying over in a nice hotel somewhere.

And I'm sure there's lots more out there who feel the same but wherever it is there will be loads of idle gits who wont turn up because it's more convenient to stay at home in front of teh telly/computer

It does seem strange that so many seem to be averse to driving anywhere in their Alfa

Mmm, Santa Pod, how about some events like "Matta mayhem " or a "Berlina burn-out " on the strip?

In a previous inCARnation I have done a few American car shows at Drayton Manor Park near Tamworth in the Midlands.
Theme park and all sorts of stuff there.
PS Thanks for the site - excellent.

As a new member I would like to add my two pence worth. I know it is in the south but how about Brooklands? (http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/)

Fantastic site with an awful lot of history. Plus, for those who are into planes they now have a Concorde on display.
