Thanks guys,

Barry, many thanks for sharing the sad news with us.

I used to post late at night with Quinn, I can't call him Mark because I only ever knew him as Quinn from AO.

He was here when I first joined in 2006 and there was a picture of him on here with a quiff buggered if I can find it now I've found the thread in the bowels of AO

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/way-o...the-devil.html (The Hairstyle Of The Devil)

It was a running joke between me and Quinn with the Tin Tin thing, happy memories

I enjoyed late night banter with him when he was in his prime and I will miss seeing his Richard Burton Avatar, I think that was his favourite

Did he really have a quiff and did he really have a fat ginger cat, I'd like to think so

Anyway, I'll miss him and I hope some where he's enjoying a No 1 and a voddy

Enjoy life there are no re runs

I always thought of Quinn as looking just like Richard Burton

I'm glad he had such a good friend in you Barry. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

Me too. The thing with the internet and forums in particular. You form an image and much like radio DJ's when you see them, they're nothing like you imagine, well how it is for me anyway.
Thanks for the insight into the real Quinn Barry

Sad... very sad. He added to the Yin and Yang of this place that is sometimes lacking.

Thanks guys,

As far as I could tell, Mark worked for the NHS? Please tell me he wasn't an orthopaedic surgeon!

And some of us were intrigued that he seemed to be on the verge of a new relationship with a young lady, although sadly, it seemed to have fizzled out.

Once again Barry, thanks for your words on here - yes, Quinn did make quite an impression and I, as well as many others, will miss his obtuse musings, acid wit and occasionally, his sheer opacity.

And I wouldn't mind betting that for those whose cup of online tea he wasn't, in 'real life' they would have liked him much more.

OK I've got to add this. My GF Dianne and I listened/listen to this Quinn song when we go away and at first she pretended to go ......Ahhhhhhh.... NOT THIS AGAIN.

I ended up waking her in the morning with this repeatedly and we both realistically loved it. Sssssssh... I downloaded it. We argued about his pronunciation of 'London'. Actually everything works on this. (In both our opinions). Great chord progressions.

I think I mentioned it before in a post and I hope Quinn realised that... Give me roses while I live.

I've got things on my mind

I think that may have been the first Quinn song I heard.
London pronunciation is as I would say it. Not that I speak the Queen's English.

Thirded. Yes me too. I must admit I was thinking on the way home in the car how good it would be if Quinn was just having a laugh and he was still here.
I never met him in person but wish I had.

Just noticed this sad news from another thread.

What a sad loss. Whilst my post count doesn't reflect it, I have been reading these boards since 2008 and always remember Quinn for his unique commentary.

Unusual character - always entertaining and a genuine individual.

RIP Quinn.

Just spotted this. Very sad especially as I've got his old car. RIP and I will keep it on the road. We did have a few conversations about it and he seemed a good fella......

The train :(

Still miss the fella

Now (about 7am on a weekend morning) is when I would catch up on his activities / threads from the night before and I would either end up smiling, or shaking my head....
