Thumbs Up Attachment filesize increase!

Good news for all AO members - we have revised the attachment size and image dimension limits. Where previously 100Kb was the limit, this has now doubled to 200Kb. Image dimensions were 1000 x 600 and this has increased to 1366 x 768.

Enjoy.

Will this be accompanied by an increase in the space available for attachments? Alternatively, the facility to delete attachments to free up space. (Searched the FAQ, can't find any reference to such a feature.)

. . . or maybe just ban "What Car is This" threads!

You can already delete attachments, it's in the User Control Panel at the bottom on the left

The space available for attachments is a total of 5Mb for members with a free account and 60Mb for subscribed members. I'll look into the possibility of increasing this for both account types but with almost 120,000 members on AO, 5Mb each is half a terabyte of storage on our server before any increase.

And just like that, the attachment size limit for AO subscribed members has also been doubled.
A filesize of 400kB and image dimensions of 1600x1200 is now allowed.
