155.com/AO merge suggestions

Hi AO guys, you've read all the stuff regarding the above title.
I for one agree that 155.com doesn't really exist anymore and is part of AO.com.

I have a couple of suggestions regarding the layout of the forums. One is my own and the other I think is from Rickalfas:

1. If possible I would like to see a seperate Tech Lounge for each car, you know, one each for 33, 145/146, 155 etc. And a specific lounge for general tech questions about say, bodywork, fixtures and fittings etc. This lounge would be for all Alfas.

or....

2. (Ricksalfas suggestion)

Lounges based on engine type ie.
Twin Cam Lounge
Twin Spark Lounge
V6 Lounge
JTD lounge
Then a suspension lounge, brakes etc. (the specific lounge for general tech questions could also be used here).

You guys have probably already thought of this and I'm aware that it would probably be a lot of work. I will still use the site regardless.

Anyway, whaddya think ???

Anyone else want to comment (No "I want 155.com left alone" comments. We already know that some are opposed to a complete merging). This is for constructive ideas only please

BTW I registered to 155.com nearly 3 years ago and see myself as one of the regular oldtimers

Re: 155.com/AO merge suggestions

AO has enough lounges IMHO ... any more and it would get very hard to navigate...

Maybe the "147,156 & 166" lounge and the "145,146,155 & 164" could use sub lounges for each model (don't know as I don't really hang out there ever) But atleast for the "33,Sud & Sprint" lounge a split up would make it even slower than it now is

Re: 155.com/AO merge suggestions

oh, And since 33s, Suds and Sprints have so much in common (parts fit each other etc.) it's better to have them all together

and breaking them to sections like breaks, suspenssion or engine type isn't a very wise idea also (reason is written somewhere above )

Maybe tyres (that are not Alfa specific) could have it's own lounge(?)

them without being insulting

...in the nicest possible way...of course
(this wasn't meant at MARL ) but Ricks...is realy
