i entered 1, 2 and 3 using the logic that no one would be dumb enough to choose the lowest numbers
clearly that didn't work. I also put in 12 because i like that number

You had the right idea as one of the comps was actually won with 1p but one of the other ones had about three 1p's... just luck of the draw if the lowest number works or not.

The answer to the badge year was 1920 but only 2 people got that right so, as the rules stated, (because we needed another couple of winners) the first submitted answers nearest to the correct answer got the remaining prizes.

Well guys as one of the badge date winners I would just like to thank the Forum Management and the Cloverleaf Club for what has just been a fantastic and fun day out ...

The "old girl" (the 156!) survived Goodwood's racing circuit with flying colours and held her own ( except against the white Spider ). Plus we really enjoyed watching the other groups having their turns. There were a good range of cars including an old GTA and early Spider to the latest cars including an 8C. The track is exceptionally easy for even beginners to track days like me ... My 16 year old son came with me as my "official photographer" and ended up as my passenger for two of the three lap sessions!

(sorry can't find a smiley with a grin from ear to ear and three miles wide!)

Had a go on the handling course in a MiTo Cloverleaf ... those 175 horses in Dynamic mode are something else.

Then over to the preview day .. and lots of pics to be uploaded soon of unusual Alfa's plus some other super cars! Even Citroen had an ear-splitter!

Now to remove the layer of dust from the field we parked in and most of the Hampshire and Sussex insect population that failed to survive the impact of a 156 travelling at between 80 and 100 mph!! On the track of course!!!

PS I don't think there were any cars damaged or broken ... just one guy's pride dented ... his 8C failed the decibel check as he did his circuits and he lasted just three laps! The limit was 98 .. the 8C was 98 in the paddock and obviously not in D mode then ... but it was obviously a lot more than 98 decibels as he went down the back straight ... red flagged! A real shame!

cheers, Gary
