Idea My complaints...

For that's what you asked for!

Main gripe is there is very little room for the actual messages - the alfaowner.com banner + the forum top banner graphic take up way too much room, as do the messages themselves. Even the list of messages requires more scrolling.

I have a 19" screen, god help those with smaller screens!

(+ need to get rid of the dark background, please sometimes I have to come into work early, all the lights are off (to aid my sleep) & I need a dark screen, so it'd be impossible to see anything. Even with normal brightness levels, the dark grey text (e.g. time) is very hard to see)

Just my 2 cents worth, don't forget these gripes are very minor, a small bit of constructive criticism, still think the site is great!!

-Nick

Oh yeah, my user name changed too - from 'name' to 'user name' ??

¡Arriba, arriba, arriba, ándale, ándale, olé, olé, olé, ándale!

What has the size of the screen to do with it? It is the screen resolution that is responsible for the amount of scrolling you have to do, not the size of the monitor.

I know... but generally people with large screens run them at high resolutions...

It's not as if I'm running at 640 x 480 - even at 1152 x 864, it all appears rather cramped...

Re: My complaints...

I would if I could, but it makes a high pitched whiney noise and flickers too much (doesn't support a high refresh rate)
It's a fairly old monitor...

Re: My complaints...

i dont use 1280x1024 to use AO ... but i really find it a lot easier to work with .. you can fit lots of stuff on the screen at the same time.. you dont have to keep switching between 1 application and another. pity my monitor doesnt allow 1600 x 1200

Re: My complaints...

Trouble is Hugo, it's a work monitor & I generally only read AO at work
(too slow at home (well the old forum was, haven't tried the new one yet!)

Re: My complaints...

But do we have to have these problems with a 'new improved site' or were these problems still problems on the 'old dis-approved site'?
