Mooney Changes

I am still debating whether the 'New Improved' forum is just change for change sake.
The site takes ages to load as does changes from one topic to the next.
It took ten mins to come here from the alfa 166 forum. Which by the way the 156 and 166 is not shown when you first see the main car list.
My personal details keep changing as it forgets what car i drive.
So give it a week and if no improvment bring back the old reliable forum layout

Oh and it seems that loads of post have gone from the last week?

yeah, i think its no faster than the old forum, if slower. and other forums are far faster. and im only on ISDN.

I think give it time and for ian to sort out the other skins, but i find this on hard to follow on a 21" screen.

Do us a favour old love - any chance you can thin out the entire service history of your motor? We haven't all got 21 inchers you know...

a 21" screen is useless if you're stuck with 640x480

Re: Verdict on this new forum No.2

Personally I think it's a bit annoying but there are some improvements here.

What I don't quite like are:

1) White text on gray background is not as eye-friendly as conventional black text on white.

2) The top area, and overall pages takes a while to load if not on broadband - it seems slower than before

What I like are:

1) The "views" stats next to the posts stats

2) The shortcuts (forum jumps) are nice

Otherwise it's a fresh new look!
