Alfaowner access issues - RESOLVED

Message from Alfaowner:

The name server hq is down - completely out of AO's hands. Hence problems with access the majority are having.

Cheers

Re: Alfaowner access issues

I felt lost yesterday evening as I was unable access at home, even though I could get on at work.

It is amazing how much AO is missed when you can't get on.

Re: Alfaowner access issues

The DNS was reset. It was a problem with the hosting. Most services should now have resumed. Although some people still won't be able to access until after 3pm GMT.

I thought I had been given the 'Boot'.: Still can't access AO reliably though, all of the time. Must wait until 3pm I guess as the experts have mentioned?:

Re: Alfaowner access issues

Hello Chaps, Following the loss of AO yesterday I made use of the time doing other things and I realised that there is more to life than AO & the Internet, so its with a heavy heart that this will be my last post on AO.

Re: Alfaowner access issues

It worked all day at work but still can't connect via Sky broadband at home. Connects OK using my phone. Is the problem ISP influenced (on static IP at work with Supanet).
