Re: Is it Alfaowner

Well they had all my usual stuff and I entered a username and number password so I feel I have been had then?

This is the email sent;
The AROC forum is closed for maintenance but is expected to be available again later this evening. The forum is being integrated with a new AROC Membership system that is being administered by The Lavenham Group. As a registered forum user you are being sent this mail to advise you of some important changes to the way you will log on and off the forum and maintain your forum profile.

The new membership system is located here: G-VIS.NET. You can log on to the membership system to change your membership profile (name, address, password, cars owned, area section etc.). Changes will automatically be made available to Lavenham's membership administrators and your next magazine sent to any new address that you have entered. Access to the membership system is by your membership number (11563) and password (*****).

As from Tuesday, the forum will be integrated with the membership system. Access to the forum WILL BE BY THE SAME MEMBERSHIP NUMBER AND PASSWORD THAT YOU USE FOR THE MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM. For those who did not receive the previous version of this email the new password sent in this mail should be used to gain access to the forum. For those who have already changed their passwords, these will not have been changed again.

If you forget your password at any time, you can ask for a reminder via this page on the Membership system: AROC Member's Area: Forgotten Password

Your forum profile (username, avatar and signature) will be editable via a new page accessed from links on the forum.

Due to a technical problem the original version of this email failed to reach a large proportion of the forum users and has had to be resent. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Yes it's AROC - I've had a similar email and also there was a leaflet in the last magazine.

No leaflet for me, apparently it was printed on the reverse of the address label, something I didn't find out about until I'd shredded it. Had to request new details, before the site closed, then I got an e mail similar to above.

Suppose it will work out in the end.

Neither did I.

But I've never been a member of AROC, nor do I intend to be.
