Hahaha! I'm a "Refer" area! But how crazy is this, grassy green rich calm Wimbledon (SW19) is group F!! WTF????
That's not a high crime or collision area, that's just milking it on the basis that people will probably be able to afford it.

Re: Your postcode as Insurers see it
'A' For ours,I think? Still observed a Porker, that was lifted from a showroom frontage, some years back now though. Anyone want to buy a three-bed detached, three level, town house, with a double-width garage, close to the M25,M1, A41, 10 mins walk from a mainline station into the city,(35mins?) 40 Mins. point to point, from Luton airport. Offers in the region of?? : Well, it might save putting a board up, and using estate agents.

Re: Your postcode as Insurers see it
belfast isnt even on it
tbf i reckon that is probably the map used by one insurer but each firm probably has its own way of working out the risks of each area.

i wonder if insurance people use british crime survey data to estimate risk. low and high risk areas would be changing regularly - i.e potentially every quarter dependant on trends of course

Underwriters are big fans of statistics...They look at things in black and white and update the rates every 30 days where I work.... They also use the ABI rating areas as guides only......

I dread to think what my premium would be like if I didn't live in an 'A' graded postcode!

Yet the Schemes full of junkies, thieves and low-lifes are all lower.
Why's that then ?? I don't remember anybody coming to our house to steal my Dads Alfa or V6 Renault 25
