What are the options ?

The situation is that my licence is currently revoked on medical grounds and will be for another 6 months. My girlfriend has been driving it (she has her own car and policy) a bit to keep it in shape, whilst my old insurance policy was still going.
Now that my insurance has expired, she can't drive it and if she wants to get insured with her insurers, they would only treat it as a seperate policy with no ncb, which would cost a small fortune (considering the mileage would be about 2k a year).
The other problem is that when the tax runs out in a couple of months, I won't be able to renew that without insurance, and the car is currently parked in the street.
Any suggestions what the best plan is ??

Sorry for the late reply, but only joined recently
She could look at covering the car on a temporary basis. You only need to produce a 14 day covernote to tax a car. Her current insurers could possible do this, other than that it may be worthwhile shopping for her insurance. Other companies offer to match ncb when you add a second car or may have a policy that is able to have more than one car.
