Think how high our premiums would be if insurance companies did that everytime there was an accident!

I think a P-box would be the safe option, as if you did crash the car you could just whip it out.
Autolusso sell P-boxes, if you don't fancy getting a remap without declaring it to your insurers then a P-box could be the way forward for you. Money-back guarantee if you don't like it too, plus the chance of a lovely fish & chip lunch if Ned's in a good mood, or so I've heard

Re: remaps and insurance
I was reading up on the P-Box's, I can't remember if its the sport or the normal one, but, you can adjust the power up and down so if you want more power you just have to turn a dial, jump in and away you go, power mad and no diesel left, ha ha.
Or you can go the other way, tone down the power for better fuel economy...

I imagine you're fully comp on your insurance right?
Which means if you crash (touch wood you won't), whether its your fault or not, the insurance will have a good look at your car..
In which case, I'd be a lot more at ease with a P-box I could just take out.. They are adjustable yeah, but watch out for the cheap replicas on eBay.. Get it from an reputable place that sells them.

Re: remaps and insurance
I would have mine fixed through AutoLusso, I wouldn't fit it myself. I used to work alot on my Rover cause if it broke was cheap to fix, with the 156 it goes to the garage and I don't touch it, ha ha.
Well, if I do crash (touch wood I don't) lets just hope the P-box is no where near the point of impact...
