Re: insurance on a gta

massive leap to gta insurance.

probably times 2, if not 3 or more - everyone is dif (and each ins company)

check an add, get the details and run a quote on a comparison site.

dont ruin it with 4 exhausts btw.

Re: insurance on a gta

We'll I'm 22 with 1 yr NCB and the cheapest quote I got was £2300.

I reckon you need to be at least 25. or 21+ with 4 years + NCB.

It's insurance group 19!!!

I could get quotes of about 1k with Bell.co.uk on a fiat coupe 20v turbo which I also believe is group 19. Might be worth trying them.

I'm 22 with 2 years ncb

Re: insurance on a gta

Next month I'll be 22 with 3 years NCB and I reckon I'd get insured on a GTA for sub £1000. I had a brief flirtation with an E36 M3 Evo about this time last year and got quoted £1500 (20, 2 years NCB at the time)

Re: insurance on a gta

The best insurance quote I've had is in the region of £600 but I'm 31 with full 9 years NCB. Some quotes were much higher.

At 19 I would expect most insurance companies to decline to insure you. Any that did would want large chunks of money. It's not just age of course, location plays a big factor to, and I'm pretty sure the insurance companies factor in everything including the position of the moon and the stars or so it would seem.

I swapped from a 20VT to a GTA, and the premium was the same, to the penny. Of course, that might have been to save them any admin, but the prices must have been similar.
I'm 29, live in a decent post code, and my insurance is a very reasonable (in my opinion) £450.

Re: insurance on a gta

Costing me about £550 in a so so postcode area. I think there is a loading comes off at 25, but also try and limit the mileage on the policy as this can bring it down, as can sticking your mum on the insurance.

Re: insurance on a gta

Strangely enough (must be something to do with the timing of my car changes) I've pretty much always paid around the £400ish mark for my insurance. All the way through from a Volvo 440 at 19, to my GTA at 28.
I think the only premium far away from that was my 145QV, which I seem to remember was £600 at 24 when I first bought it, but dropped to my normal £450 the next year.

Good thing with the GTA is my mum is too scared of it to drive it Though I did offer her its use when I borrowed their hatchback and left my car with them.
